Walter Aaron
Walter, born and raised in Botswana, developed a passion for wildlife and photography at an early age. As a young schoolboy, he enjoyed taking pictures of the various wild animals roaming around his village. He later borrowed his science teacher’s camera in high school and began capturing photos of his classmates and people in town—a memory he still cherishes.
In 2013, Walter pursued his love for bush life by completing his training as a professional safari guide. This offered him the chance to turn his passion for photography into a daily routine. As fate would have it, this was only the beginning of his journey, which ultimately led him to his dream job of becoming a professional wildlife photographer. In 2020, the pandemic shut down tourism, including Walter’s job as a safari guide. However, he didn’t let this setback stop him from pursuing his passion. Instead, he picked up his camera and started taking street photos, covering weddings, and capturing images of other events. Through these experiences, Walter’s love for photography continued to thrive.
