More Quarters Cape Town
A heartbeat away from the action of trendy Kloof Street, this classy studio style lodging is a calm, unfettered bolt hole. From here, you can experience local living at its best. Dip into the coffee culture, browse the many interesting shops (handy for last minute shopping) and wonderful eateries, all frequented by Capetonians.
The area is known as The City Bowl and is a more down to earth area of the city away from the millionaire’s mansions on the other side of Lions Head along the Atlantic Seaboard. The “bowl” sits above the city’s central business district below with Table Mountain rising above and behind. The tree-lined streets are great to explore on foot with all the museums and galleries within easy reach.
We love it because its owner-run and despite its modernity exudes classic charm. Each of the 23 apartments packs a punch. Aside from luxe linens and bath amenities, we really appreciate the special touches like fresh flowers. The designer appliances and great coffee round off the functional, thoughtfully designed space beautifully. Cape Town is known for its notable foodie scene and More Quarters does not disappoint. The menu is chock full of international palate pleasers as well as “local is lekker” dishes. If, however, after a full day of exploring you just want to order in room service will hit the spot.
Whet your appetite before exploring one of the excellent restaurants within ambling distance by enjoying the complimentary late afternoon high tea in the library or, sundowner snacks early evening in the lounge.
