After a life-changing trip to the Kalahari, Ann and Steve Toon left their careers in journalism and embraced professional wildlife photography. With a focus on documenting the wildlife of Southern Africa, they spend a significant portion of each year photographing game reserves.

By leveraging their journalistic and photographic acumen, Ann and Steve bring attention to the complex issues affecting wildlife through articles published in magazines and newspapers worldwide. Moreover, they lead specialised small group photographic safaris to several destinations in Southern Africa, including the Chobe River in northern Botswana, the Mashatu game reserve in Botswana’s Tuli Block, the Zimanga private game reserve in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal, and the Sabi Sand in Greater Kruger, South Africa.

Their safaris are carefully planned to offer abundant game sightings and “value-added” photographic opportunities, such as taking pictures from specialist photo boats and low-level hides.
